Kathleen G. Byrne is a 2009 graduate of Ursinus College where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Politics with a minor in International Relations. In 2012, Kathleen obtained her Juris Doctorate from Villanova University’s Charles Widger School of Law where she was a recipient of the Deans Merit Scholarship and a member of the Jeffrey S. Moorad Sports Law Journal. She also worked as a student attorney in Villanova’s Federal Tax Clinic.
During law school, Kathleen completed internships with a Chester County civil litigation firm, the Montgomery County and Delaware County District Attorney’s Offices, and the Villanova Federal Tax Clinic, gaining valuable experience over a wide range of legal areas.
After law school, Kathleen began her career as an Assistant District Attorney in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. As an Assistant District Attorney, Kathleen oversaw the prosecution of criminal cases from start to finish, working closely with law enforcement during investigations, handling pre-trial hearings, and successfully trying numerous cases before judges and juries. During her tenure at the District Attorney’s Office, Kathleen was assigned to the Economic Crimes and Arson Division, focusing on prosecuting high value thefts, complex identity theft rings, and financial exploitation of elderly persons. Prior to leaving the District Attorney’s Office, she was named Chief of the County’s ARD program which handles the disposition hundreds of criminal cases each year.
Kathleen joined The MacMain Law Group in August of 2018.
